Aarau's traditional "Rüeblimärt" (carrot market) takes place on the first Wednesday in November and each year attracts more than 30'000 visitors.

Each year in December in the very heart of the "market town" of Bad Zurzach, retailers, traders and the market team showcase the picturesque Christmas village with its 30 huts and 50 market stalls as well as an attractive programme of entertainment.

The Bremgarten Christmas Market with over 320 market stalls is held from 4 to 7 December 2008. The cultural programme alone is well worth the journey.

The Martini Market is the oldest annual fair in Muri and takes place every year on 11 November. In earlier times the grocers, traders and market goers would set out their stalls and their wares in honour of the Abbey's patron; today they do so entirely for the pleasure and delight of visitors.

Alongside the Martini Market, the May Market is Muri's second big traditional annual fair to have survived well into the second half of the 20th century; today it once again enjoys a new-found popularity. It is held on the first Saturday in May every year.

Bio Marché is Switzerland's leading organic trade fair, and each year it is held in Zofingen in late June. The organic festival's focal point is the large retail market with certified organic produce from the food and non-food sectors.
