Customs & Markets
In the Aargau, traditions and customs are nurtured with a great sense of pride: the "Bachfischet", the annual procession of schoolchildren in Aarau; the "Chlöpfe" in Lenzburg; or the "Sebastianisingen" in Rheinfelden are all part of it, and immensely popular with the young and the young-at-heart. The same goes for the many weekly, monthly and annual markets, which still play an important role in the economic and social life of the people of the Aargau.
